In addition electrical industry is one of the most significant infrastructure branch for a country and requires investment-intensive approach. In this study the importance of load management in terms of energy saving and its relation with tariff will be evaluated in such an investment-intensive business. Tariff handled in this study is the one calculated with marginal cost method, which is maximizing the net economical benefit gained from electricity consumption. Following a panoramic view, relation between load management method with tariff and its feasibility for the Turkish Electricity System is discussed in this study.

Electrical demand management and its relation with tarif / Elektrik talep yönetimi ve tarifeyle ilişkisi
World societies’ dependancy for energy resources, especially to electrical energy, increases gradually. In addition electrical industry is one of the most significant infrastructure branch for a country and requires investment-intensive approach. In this study the importance of load management in terms of energy saving and its relation with tariff will be evaluated in such an investment-intensive business. Tariff handled in this study is the one calculated with marginal cost method, which is maximizing the net economical benefit gained from electricity consumption. Following a panoramic view, relation between load management method with tariff and its feasibility for the Turkish Electricity System is discussed in this study.

Ersin Kaya, our magazine’s editor-in-chief, Kaynak Elektrik became the only professional periodical having completed 25 years in its area, said in the opening speech. That should be considered a unique achievement, added Ersin Kaya.
