Engineering education should not be based on memorization and some amendments should be made in engineering syllabus. Additionally university-industry cooperation should be developed. Engineering education should aim to provide commenting skills on solving engineering and industrial problems.
In this study, background of engineering education in Turkey is handled, education quality is searched and problems in engineering education are specified and some solution offers are offered.

Electrical demand management and its relation with tarif / Elektrik talep yönetimi ve tarifeyle ilişkisi
World societies’ dependancy for energy resources, especially to electrical energy, increases gradually. In addition electrical industry is one of the most significant infrastructure branch for a country and requires investment-intensive approach. In this study the importance of load management in terms of energy saving and its relation with tariff will be evaluated in such an investment-intensive business. Tariff handled in this study is the one calculated with marginal cost method, which is maximizing the net economical benefit gained from electricity consumption. Following a panoramic view, relation between load management method with tariff and its feasibility for the Turkish Electricity System is discussed in this study.
